Join us as we celebrated Vijayadashami, the festival of victory, with a stunning Bharathanatyam performance by the students of Margam Centre for Arts. Margam Centre for Arts is a Bharathanatyam dance school in Sydney, Australia, founded in 2019 by Shruthy Ramamurthi. Shruthy is a professional Bharathanatyam dancer, choreographer, and teacher, as well as a certified yoga practitioner, teacher, and fitness coach. She has mentored many students from diverse cultural backgrounds in both yoga and Bharathanatyam. In this video, you will witness the grace and beauty of Bharathanatyam, a classical Indian dance form that originated in Tamil Nadu. Bharathanatyam is a rich and complex art that combines music, rhythm, expression, and storytelling. It is also a spiritual practice that connects the dancer with the divine. Shruthy believes in upholding the Guru-Shishya Parampara, the traditional teacher-student relationship that fosters learning and growth. She provides a holistic learning environment for her students, where they can develop their skills, confidence, and passion for Bharathanatyam.
